Commercial Office, Paris

Client: Multinational Investment Bank & Financial Services Company

Duration: 28/03/2023 - 22/06/2023

We were appointed to carry out CxA commissioning management services, on this impressive office fit-out, in the heart of Paris. The project encompassed four interconnected buildings (A, B, C, and D) with multiple floors, including basement levels 1, 2, and 3, ground floor, mezzanine, and levels 1 and 2. The objective was to transform the existing space into modern offices while ensuring optimal functionality of the mechanical systems. The scope of works included primary fresh air and extract systems, secondary air systems, and CHW and LTHW  systems.

By working directly with the client, we had the privilege of understanding their expectations and what they needed to get to that point. To deliver on our promise of pursuing excellence, Sygna’s responsibilities within this project included:

  • Chairing Meetings: Chairing daily commissioning meetings to ensure effective coordination and communication among the project team members.

  • Tracking and Reporting: Tracking and reporting progress of commissioning activities, including organizing testing, and providing regular updates on the project's commissioning status.

  • Test Document Preparation: Producing test documents for all Mechanical systems

  • Witnessing and Oversight: Witnessing the building services, Testing and Commissioning, and Integrated System Testing stages to ensure compliance with the project requirements.

At Sygna, we pride ourselves on going above and beyond. On this project, this was exemplified by completing the following:

  • System Balancing: Witnessing the mechanical items revealed imbalances in the mechanical systems, which would have adversely affected their performance. The Commissioning Authority (CxA) took charge of managing a team of engineers and coordinated efforts to balance the systems effectively, ensuring optimal performance and occupant comfort.

  • Monitoring and Issue Resolution: Close monitoring of the building and working areas was conducted to ensure optimal performance, ambient climate, and temperature control. The building management system (BMS) was investigated, issues were identified, and prompt actions were taken to rectify them, ensuring seamless system operation and energy efficiency.
