Our Featured Projects

  • 20MW Data Centre (CxA) North Acton, UK

This project is a 1.2-acre development featuring a six-storey data centre and a four-storey generator building, executed in two phases. Phase 1 includes four Data Modules of 2MW IT load each, while Phase 2 adds six more of the same capacity.

As the appointed Commissioning Agent, our role was to oversee and manage commissioning activities, reviewing Cx Levels 1 to 3 and directly handling Levels 4 and 5. Early engagement in the design phase allowed us to implement best practices, reduce risks, and ensure a seamless commissioning process. By proactively collaborating with stakeholders, reviewing test documentation, and validating system performance, we successfully contributed to the project’s timely and efficient delivery, meeting all client expectations.

  • 4MW Data Centre (CxA) Slough, UK

Our Mission Critical division recently played a key role in the successful delivery of Kao Data’s Phase 2 upgrade for KLON06, a 4MW co-location data center. The project involved a comprehensive enhancement of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems to support the expanded Technical Suite. The control systems were also upgraded with enhanced EPMS, fire alarm, and security control panel integration. To improve cooling efficiency, the facility was equipped with indirect evaporative cooling, dry air coolers, CRAC units, and air handling units. Designed to optimise operational reliability, scalability, and environmental compliance, the upgrades were seamlessly integrated into the existing infrastructure to support the data centre’s long-term performance.

  • 40MW Data Centre (CxC) Bischofsheim, Germany

This project involved the construction of a state-of-the-art Data Centre and Facilities/Administration building, located approximately 20 minutes from Frankfurt Airport. The facility consists of a two-storey structure with four 10MW data halls, delivering a total IT power capacity of 40MW. The project was designed with a phased sectional handover for each data hall.

Our role in the project was to act as the Independent Commissioning Authority (CxC) on behalf of the Main Contractor. The primary objective was to ensure the proper integration and validation of all systems in compliance with industry standards and client specifications.

  • 14.4MW Colocation Data Centre (CxV) Frankfurt, Germany

This cutting-edge 14.4MW data centre is designed for high efficiency, scalability, and reliability. Spanning four levels, it features six advanced data halls, optimised cooling, and robust power redundancy with Battery Backup Units (BBU) and 12 switch rooms. Our team managed the commissioning process, ensuring quality standards and seamless execution. The modular design allows for future expansions and integration of sustainable solutions, making this data centre a future-proof infrastructure for modern computing needs.

Learn About Our Services

  • Client-side commissioning management is a crucial service for mission-critical facilities and data centres, ensuring that all systems are designed, installed, tested, and operated to meet stringent performance and reliability standards. We act as the owner’s representative, providing independent oversight to validate that the facility’s infrastructure operates as intended before it goes live.

  • We work alongside the principal contractor, taking a hands-on approach with subcontractors and the build team to ensure the seamless commissioning of a high-functioning mission-critical facility or data centre. Our role is to manage and coordinate all commissioning activities, ensuring that systems are installed, tested, and delivered in full compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and client expectations.

  • A Commissionability Review is an integral service that ensures the design, layout, and overall construction plan of a mission-critical facility or data centre are optimally prepared for the commissioning process. This service involves a detailed, systematic assessment of all relevant documentation and design elements to identify potential issues that could hinder the commissioning process, ultimately ensuring that the facility is ready to be handed over to operations without delays.

  • The Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) service ensures that every aspect of the installation and construction of a mission-critical facility or data centre meets or exceeds the required quality standards. Our goal is to provide comprehensive oversight and verification that materials, systems, and workmanship align with the project’s specifications, industry standards, and the client's operational expectations. Through rigorous assessment and testing, we deliver confidence that the final facility is both safe and highly functional.

  • Retro-commissioning is a service designed for existing buildings and facilities, including mission-critical environments like data centres, to optimise their performance and energy efficiency. Unlike traditional commissioning, which applies to new constructions, retro-commissioning focuses on improving the efficiency, integration, and functionality of systems that are already in operation. Our service helps identify and resolve operational inefficiencies, enabling clients to reduce energy consumption, enhance system reliability, and extend the lifespan of existing infrastructure. In many cases, retro-commissioning can lead to operational savings of up to 30%.

  • Validation and Diagnostics Analytics is a service designed to evaluate and document the performance of a building and its systems, ensuring that they meet all operational requirements and function as intended. This service provides in-depth analysis, performance validation, and diagnostics to verify that all systems - from HVAC and lighting to electrical and IT infrastructure - are operating efficiently and effectively. It guarantees that a building's services are fully fit for purpose, optimising the performance and longevity of critical systems, improving operational efficiency, and preventing potential system failures.

  • Environmental Commissioning ensures that a building meets sustainability goals and operates in an environmentally responsible manner. This service focuses on commissioning processes that incorporate energy efficiency, environmental performance, and sustainable practices, ensuring that the building is not only functional but also aligns with green building standards and certifications. Environmental Commissioning is essential for facilities aiming to achieve accreditation in areas such as LEED, BREEAM, or other sustainability benchmarks. We provide comprehensive monitoring, evaluation, and documentation to help clients meet these certification requirements and create a more sustainable environment.

  • Power Quality Analysis assesses the health of the electrical power supply within a facility, ensuring that the electrical systems are stable, efficient, and free from issues that can impact the performance of critical equipment. In mission-critical environments such as data centres, where uptime and system integrity are crucial, even minor power disturbances can lead to significant operational problems, including equipment damage, downtime, or system failure. Our Power Quality Analysis service identifies and addresses power quality issues like harmonics, voltage fluctuations, load imbalances, and other electrical phenomena that may disrupt operations.

  • Thermal Scanning ensures the safe and efficient operation of electrical equipment, mechanical systems, and other critical infrastructure. By utilising infrared thermography, we can detect temperature variations in equipment that may not be visible to the naked eye but can signal potential issues such as overheating, faulty connections, or imbalanced loads. This proactive approach helps identify issues before they lead to failures or downtime, improving safety, system reliability, and operational efficiency.
