A stone’s throw from notable London landmarks such as the Gherkin and the Tower of London, Sygna provided Commissioning Management Services to its client in the One Portsoken Building. For Phase 1 of this fit-out, we supported the delivery of the project on the 5th Floor- and as a result of this success, we are excited to announce that the Sygna team has been appointed for Phase 2 of this project!

This dynamic space meets the requirements of students and lecturers alike, as this floor consists of soundproof study booths, spacious lecture rooms and meeting rooms of various sizes, as well as a communal area for refreshments.

Sygna conducted and delivered our standard Commissioning Management Services, all in time for the expected delivery date of September 2024, to allow for the floor to be fully functional for the client on their move-in date.
These services included, but were not limited to:
A full ‘Commissionability’ Review
Developed and issued a commissioning plan, outlining the project and client requirements.
Reviewing and commenting on the contractor’s construction programme, and produce and in-depth Cx programme.
Tracking the project commissioning and witnessing, inclusive of key milestones, while logging and recording all witnessing events effectively.
Interacting with the Principal Contractor (our client), by hosting weekly commissioning meetings and presenting the reports of the ongoing commissioning activities.
Sample witnessing of static and dynamic testing, ensuring it is compliant against the consultant’s design, relevant standards and of course, the clients expectations.
The creation of a Commissioning Final Report (CFR).
Provided technical support for issue resolution/reporting during the commissioning process.
Ensured all commissioning is carried out in accordance with the CIBSE Commissioning Codes and the BSRIA Guide Documents.

Our experienced Lead Commissioning Manager, Rikki Fuller, was the main Sygna representative on this project. Speaking with the client, they reported back that Rikki kept the client Project Management team “in all relevant correspondence, meaning that they had visibility at all times, without needing to intervene”. They highlighted the strict adherence to Health & Safety regulations throughout the project timeline, and the client was especially impressed with our reporting tools.
