Our Major Projects division played an integral role in the successful planning, execution and delivery of the commissioning management process of 2 floors of a 75,000sq. ft commercial office in Leadenhall. An open-plan office environment equipped for any and all corporate needs, the finished space consists of many modern assets, including focus pods featuring noise-reducing materials, ventilation systems and power outlets to provide phone call privacy and focused workspaces, meeting rooms fully equipped with conference call technology, bright communal seating areas, and an efficient and intuitive canteen area, with amenities and seating to accommodate both social and individual preferences.

Despite challenges, such as a change in principal contractor and shifting requirements, the team provided contractor-side commissioning management services to the project with remarkable efficiency and stakeholder satisfaction.

With the construction programme being dynamic and adaptable, the Sygna team developed a bespoke commissioning programme that integrated seamlessly with the overall plan.

Tom Chadd, our Sygna Commissioning Manager on the project, was praised for his effective planning methods, and ability to adapt to the fluid programme.

Our signature approach at Sygna is the expert-led commissioning meetings with this project being no different. We pride ourselves on straightforward and consistent communication, and each week the team ran commissioning meetings, outlining the plan ahead while raising and identifying issues.

We recognise the importance of being flexible and making “well thought-out and well managed” decisions on behalf of our clients. The team on the project were commended for reallocating and utilising resources to suit the programme, without incurring unnecessary costs.
